#News || Kaziranga National Park has officially reopened for tourists, marking the beginning of the 2026–27 tourism season in Assam.
The park authorities have undertaken extensive preparations ahead of the reopening, including the renovation and decoration of guest houses and upgrades to visitor facilities.
Forest Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah formally inaugurated the new tourism season. He also inaugurated the office of the Jeep Safari Association ahead of the park’s reopening.
Ministers Atul Bora, Keshab Mahanta and Ajanta Neog, along with MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, attended the inaugural programme.
With tourists from across India and abroad already arriving, authorities expect visitor footfall to increase further as the new tourism season gets underway.
