#News || Lakhimpur marked its District Day on October 2, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti, with a commemorative programme held at the Conference Hall of the District Commissioner’s Office.
The highlight of the programme was the inauguration of “SHIKSHANGAN,” a new portal offering free educational resources and support for competitive examination preparation, aimed at creating greater learning opportunities for students and youth.
The programme also saw SDAA Bikash Das receiving the Best Employee Award in recognition of his dedicated service.
Meanwhile, Forest Rights Act (FRA) pattas were distributed to nine beneficiaries, reaffirming the administration’s efforts towards protecting the rights of eligible communities.
The event was attended by Ranganadi MLA Rishiraj Hazarika as the chief guest, along with the District Commissioner, Lakhimpur; Senior Superintendent of Police; District Development Commissioner; Chairperson, NLMB; and other dignitaries and officials.
