Mumbai commuters could get major relief from September as the new Sion and Vidyavihar bridges are expected to open next month. The Vidyavihar bridge is nearly 90% complete and could cut peak travel time from 40–45 minutes to 10–15 minutes. The Sion bridge is also in its final stages after remaining closed since August 2024.
