Union Minister Jual Oram Clarifies on Circuit House Incident; Calls for Fair Probe and Legal Action if Guilt Is Proved Rourkela, August 22 (SatyaNews): Seven persons have been arrested following the seizure of a pistol and ammunition from the Circuit House in Rourkela. After allegations surfaced regarding the alleged involvement of Prakash Paswan, a representative of Union Minister Jual Oram in the Rourkela Municipal Corporation, Oram issued a clarification on social media. In his statement, Oram said that various discussions and misleading information were being circulated using his name in connection with the Circuit House incident, prompting him to issue the clarification. “Prakash Paswan is one of my active workers and a representative of the Rourkela Municipal Corporation. If there are any allegations against him in connection with the Circuit House incident, there should be a fair, impartial and transparent investigation. If he is found guilty, he should be punished according to law. I have no objection to that. The law must apply equally to everyone,” Oram stated. The Union Minister further said that he has been involved in electoral politics for the past 35 years and has received the support and blessings of people belonging to different religions and communities. “For me, everyone is equal—Odia people, people from other states, tribals, Bengalis, Biharis or Marwaris. I have been elected to serve all sections of society, and working in the interest of the people is my responsibility,” he said. Oram also expressed concern over attempts to allegedly create confusion by using his name in connection with information obtained through the Right to Information (RTI) Act. “If any attempt is being made to spread false or misleading information through RTI-related information by using my name and thereby create confusion among the people, that should also be properly examined,” he said. The Union Minister warned that if any individual or organisation is deliberately carrying out a campaign of misinformation against him, he would take appropriate legal action. “Political differences and criticism are part of politics. However, falsehood, misinformation and conspiracy will not be tolerated,” Oram said. Concluding his statement, he added, “Time is a powerful force. I am waiting for time to reveal the truth.”
