#assam: The Assam government has announced a major plantation drive to plant Ejar (Jacaranda) trees along the National Highway stretch from Jalukbari to Khanapara. Once fully grown, the purple-flowering trees are expected to transform the city’s busiest corridor into a vibrant scenic avenue while enhancing urban greenery and improving the roadside environment.
