#News || Following the recent fire that gutted two warehouses in Ward No. 13 along the Betmahal–Gurudwara Road in North Lakhimpur, Lakhimpur MLA Manab Deka has raised concerns over commercial warehouses operating in residential areas.
The MLA said such warehouses could pose a serious risk to the lives and property of residents, particularly after the latest fire incident.
He has directed the District Commissioner and Lakhimpur Municipal Board to take time-bound action to identify commercial warehouses located in residential areas.
The MLA further stated that necessary steps will be taken to notify such establishments and facilitate their relocation to designated commercial zones.
He stressed that the safety of citizens and their property must remain the top priority.
