DMC has clarified that no tender, authorization, or permission has been issued by the Corporation for any such collection. The civic body has advised street vendors, food sellers, and the public not to pay money to any unauthorized person claiming to collect fees on behalf of DMC. The Corporation stated that strict action will be taken against individuals found involved in such illegal activities.
