Major Food Safety Action in Gujarat! The Gujarat Food Safety Department conducted surprise raids at two godowns in Unava Village, Unjha (Mehsana), uncovering serious food safety violations. Over 26 tonnes of fennel seeds (saunf) worth ₹19.6 lakh suspected to be adulterated with non-permitted inedible colours, were seized. Premises were found operating without valid FSSAI licences, and samples have been sent for laboratory testing.
