#News | The 8th Open Kickboxing Championship & K-1 Professional North East Kickboxing Championship – Fight Night 2026 concluded successfully at the Dibrujan Jalan Nagar LP School Playground, Dibrugarh, after two days of thrilling action.

Organised by Fearless Sports Martial Arts & Self Defence Academy in association with the Amateur Kickboxing Association of Dibrugarh, and powered by title sponsor Brahmaputra Diagnostics & Hospital Ltd. (BDHL), the championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from fighters across the North East.

The event featured intense K-1 professional title bouts alongside amateur kickboxing competitions in Point Fight, Kick Light, Light Contact, and Full Contact categories. Young and experienced athletes displayed remarkable skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the championship, drawing appreciation from coaches, officials, and spectators.

A special tribute was paid to the late Sailendra Das through the presentation of the Best Fighter Awards for boys and girls across the Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior categories. Champion Team, Runner-up Team, and Second Runner-up Team trophies, along with Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, were also presented to deserving winners.

The championship successfully achieved its objective of promoting kickboxing in the region, encouraging young talent, and providing a high-quality competitive platform for emerging fighters. The large turnout of participants and spectators made the event one of the biggest kickboxing championships held in Assam this year, further strengthening Dibrugarh’s growing reputation as a hub for sporting excellence.
