સુરત શહેરના હોજીવાલા વિસ્તારમાં આવેલી ગુજરાત પ્લાય બોર્ડ કંપનીમાં ગત બુધવારે સાંજે એક અત્યંત કરૂણ ઘટના બની હતી. માત્ર 15 વર્ષના સગીર શ્રમિક મનીકાંત કુમારનું પ્લાય બોર્ડના કારખાનામાં મશીન નીચે દબાઈ જવાથી દર્દનાક મોત નીપજ્યું છે. આ અકસ્માત અંગે સચિન જીઆઇડીસી પોલીસ દ્વારા ગુનો નોંધીને વધુ તપાસ શરૂ કરવામાં આવી છે.મૂળ બિહારનો રહેવાસી મનીકાંત કુમાર છેલ્લા એક વર્ષથી સુરતમાં પરિવાર સાથે રહેતો હતો.
