#News || A newly discovered butterfly species, Euthalia (Limbusa) zubeengargi, has been named after Assamese icon Zubeen Garg, marking a proud moment for Northeast India.
The species was found in the Basar region of Leparada district in Arunachal Pradesh by researchers and nature enthusiasts.
Scientists recorded only two individuals, making the butterfly extremely rare and raising concerns about its population and conservation.
It lives in cool, shaded forest areas and is known for its olive-brown wings with delicate white patterns.
