#News || The Assam Government has announced the revival of the Jibon Prerana Scheme, offering financial support to educated unemployed youth across the state.
Presenting the Assam Budget 2026–27, Finance Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah said graduates who have completed their education but are yet to secure a job will receive ₹2,500 per month under the scheme. The initiative is set to be launched from September.
Alongside the scheme, the government reiterated its commitment to employment generation, announcing a target of creating two lakh jobs across various sectors over the next five years.
The revived scheme is expected to provide temporary financial relief to job seekers while they continue to pursue employment opportunities.
