Over 20 shops at Kamdar Nagar in Naranpura are being demolished as part of a redevelopment drive. According to shopkeepers, the demolition was earlier expected to take place after Diwali, but the process has begun before the festival, leaving several affected shopkeepers concerned. If your e-challan is still pending, it’s time to take it seriously. The Supreme Court has directed strict action over unpaid traffic fines. Vehicle services like RC renewal, ownership transfer and fitness certificates may be stopped, while PUC can also be withheld for pending challans. Just a month ago, Munmun Dutta graced the stage of Miss P&I India, organized by Malik Isani. And now, in just a few weeks, on 17th December, Ameesha Patel is all set to grace the stage of Mrs P&I India 2026 in Ahmedabad. ✨ <nis:link nis:type=tag nis:id=misspandiindia nis:value=MissPandIIndia nis:enabled=true nis:link/> <nis:link nis:type=tag nis:id=mrspandiindia nis:value=MrsPandIIndia nis:enabled=true nis:link/> <nis:link nis:type=tag nis:id=ahmedabad nis:value=Ahmedabad nis:enabled=true nis:link/> <nis:link nis:type=tag nis:id=ameeshapatel nis:value=AmeeshaPatel nis:enabled=true nis:link/> <nis:link nis:type=tag nis:id=malikisani nis:value=MalikIsani nis:enabled=true nis:link/> MunmunDutta
Nirma University students marked a ‘Black Day’ over concerns surrounding girls’ hostel safety. The protest followed allegations of obscene behaviour by a worker near the girls’ hostel and claims of inaction despite students raising the issue. Students gathered on campus in black and raised questions over the university’s response. What do you think? Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan were spotted at Vivanta Hotel in Amdavad as they arrived in the city for the promotion of their upcoming movie ‘Udta Teer’. A new traffic arrangement has been introduced near India Colony in Amdavad. The existing cut has been closed, while two new cuts have been provided around 60 metres away on both sides. The new Capsule System is designed to improve traffic movement, reduce congestion and make everyday travel smoother for commuters. Buying fruits or vegetables from roadside vendors in Amdavad? Here’s an important update. AMC has restricted the sale of fruits and vegetables on public roads, footpaths, and major spots where vendors create traffic problems. Vendors have been instructed to sell only at designated markets and approved locations. Those found violating the rule may face fines, while their goods can also be seized during encroachment action. The step has been taken to keep roads clear and ensure smoother traffic movement. A new plan is being introduced to improve traffic movement across Amdavad. After traffic increased around the Makarba Bridge and Corporate Road, authorities are now planning several changes across the city. Around 24 busy locations will get traffic signals, more than 30 spots will get speed breakers, and the Capsule System will be introduced at 5 selected junctions. The aim is to make vehicle movement smoother and reduce wrong-side driving and traffic jams. Do you think this new system will make Amdavad’s traffic better? Amdavad’s iconic Manek Chowk is set for a major transformation as redevelopment work begins across a nearly 2 km heritage route. The night food market will be reorganized with designated square food zones, numbered stalls and fixed rental allotments. New Menaite and Cobalt stone flooring will also be added, while night-time vehicle movement in the area is planned to be restricted to improve the visitor experience. The project is estimated to cost around ₹41 crore.
