রানীনগর থানার পুলিশ অভিযান চালিয়ে বর্ডারপাড়া এলাকার একটি জুয়ার আসরে থেকে সাতজনকে আটক করে । আটক ব্যক্তিরা হলেন— উজ্জ্বল মন্ডল, রিন্টু মণ্ডল,মিঠুন মন্ডল ,কালাচাঁদ মন্ডল , রাজকুমার মন্ডল শচীন মণ্ডল, রিপন আজাদ সকলের বাড়ি: বর্ডারপাড়া, দুর্গাপুর, শিবনগর এবং চর খেজুরপাড়া ইত্যাদি এলাকায়। প্রাথমিক তদন্তে জানা যায়, দীর্ঘদিন ধরে তারা বিভিন্ন স্থানে গোপনে জুয়ার আসর পরিচালনা করে আসছিল এবং রাতে বড় একাই অন্য ধরনের ক্রাইম করার চেষ্টা করে করে আসছিল। রানীনগর থানার পুলিশের তৎপরতা ও দ্রুত পদক্ষেপের ফলে তাদের আটক করা সম্ভব হয়েছে। ধৃতদের আজ লালবাগ মহকুমা আদালতে পাঠানো হয়েছে।
বহরমপুরের বিষ্ণুপুর বয়েজ ক্লাব সংলগ্ন এলাকায় পুকুর ভরাট করে নির্মাণকাজের অভিযোগ ঘিরে চাঞ্চল্য ছড়িয়েছে এলাকায়। স্থানীয় বাসিন্দাদের অভিযোগ, দীর্ঘদিন ধরে নোংরা ও অপরিচ্ছন্ন অবস্থায় পড়ে থাকা একটি পুকুরে কয়েকদিন আগেই একটি স্বেচ্ছাসেবী সংগঠনের উদ্যোগে পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্নতার কাজ করা হয় এবং পুকুরপাড়ে গাছও লাগানো হয়। কিন্তু অভিযোগ, এরপরই সেই জায়গায় শুরু হয়েছে নির্মাণকাজ। কে বা কারা এই নির্মাণ করছে, তা এখনও স্পষ্ট নয়। তবে স্থানীয় কয়েকজনের দাবি, এলাকার কিছু দুষ্কৃতীর মদতেই এই কাজ চলছে। অভিযোগ আরও গুরুতর হয়েছে নির্মাণকাজে যুক্ত শ্রমিক ও মিস্ত্রিদের বক্তব্যে—তাঁরা নাকি সেখানে বিজেপির পার্টি অফিস তৈরির কথা বলেছেন। যদিও স্থানীয় বিজেপি কর্মীদের দাবি, এই নির্মাণের বিষয়ে তাঁদের কিছুই জানা নেই এবং তাঁদের পক্ষ থেকে এমন কোনও নির্মাণকাজ করা হচ্ছে না। ঘটনাটি নিয়ে ইতিমধ্যেই এলাকায় তৈরি হয়েছে প্রশ্ন। পুকুরটি সত্যিই ভরাট করা হচ্ছে কি না, নির্মাণের বৈধতা কী, এবং এর সঙ্গে কারা যুক্ত—সমস্ত বিষয় খতিয়ে দেখার আশ্বাস দিয়েছেন সংশ্লিষ্টরা। এখন নজর, প্রশাসনিক তদন্তে আসল তথ্য কতটা সামনে আসে।

The grand event was graced by *Shri R. Arjun, IAS*, District Magistrate & District Collector of Murshidabad, as the Chief Guest, alongside Shri Sachin Makkar, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Murshidabad, Shri Aditya Vikram, IAS, Additional District Magistrate (LR), and other senior district officials. The vibrant gathering witnessed an enthusiastic audience of over 400 participants, including students, teachers, and NCC cadets. Far beyond traditional sailing and maritime training, the expedition serves as a dynamic "floating classroom" and a powerful vehicle for social transformation. The cultural lineup was specially curated to blend artistic expression with critical national messages, highlighted by engaging presentations and performances centered on *Cyber Suraksha Awareness*—educating the youth and local community on digital safety, responsible online habits, and fraud prevention. In alignment with the national vision of Vibrant Villages (Vibrant 2.0), the event also served as a major platform for youth empowerment and career guidance. During the programme, cadets actively distributed recruitment material and interacted with students, opening doors to prestigious career pathways in the Indian Armed Forces and inspiring the next generation of defenders of the nation. From mastering rigging and boat pulling on the river to championing grassroots social development—ranging from digital literacy and environmental conservation to community welfare—the cadets of "Hooghly Sankalp" continue to prove that they are not just sailing through waters; they are actively shaping communities and building a stronger, safer, and self-reliant India.

নির্বাচনী প্রচারে ঝড় তুলল রিপাবলিকান পার্টি অফ ইন্ডিয়া রেজিনগর বিধানসভা কেন্দ্রের উপনির্বাচনকে সামনে রেখে জোরকদমে নির্বাচনী প্রচারে নামল রিপাবলিকান পার্টি অফ ইন্ডিয়া (RPI)। এদিন রেজিনগর বিধানসভা কেন্দ্রের আন্দুলবেড়িয়া-২ অঞ্চলের বিভিন্ন এলাকায় প্রচার চালান RPI প্রার্থী ইমরান মল্লিক এবং দলের রাজ্য সভানেত্রী স্বপ্না ভাদুড়ি। প্রচারে তাঁরা বিভিন্ন এলাকার সাধারণ মানুষের সঙ্গে কথা বলেন এবং দলের প্রার্থীর পক্ষে সমর্থন চান। এদিনের প্রচারকে ঘিরে দলীয় কর্মী-সমর্থকদের মধ্যে ব্যাপক উৎসাহ-উদ্দীপনা লক্ষ্য করা যায়। এলাকায় প্রচারের সময় সাধারণ মানুষের সঙ্গেও তাঁদের জনসংযোগ করতে দেখা যায়। রেজিনগর উপনির্বাচনকে কেন্দ্র করে ইতিমধ্যেই বিভিন্ন রাজনৈতিক দলের প্রচার শুরু হয়েছে। তারই মধ্যে RPI-এর এই প্রচার কর্মসূচিতে দলীয় কর্মী-সমর্থকদের উপস্থিতি ছিল চোখে পড়ার মতো।
চেন্নাইয়ে বাবার সঙ্গে রাজমিস্ত্রির কাজে গিয়ে নিখোঁজ নবগ্রামের যুবক ইমাম হোসেন চেন্নাইয়ে বাবার সঙ্গে রাজমিস্ত্রির কাজে গিয়ে নিখোঁজ মুর্শিদাবাদের নবগ্রামের যুবক ইমাম হোসেন। নিখোঁজ যুবকের বাবার নাম রফিকুল শেখ। তাঁদের বাড়ি মুর্শিদাবাদ জেলার নবগ্রাম থানার সুখির মোড় এলাকায়। পরিবার সূত্রে জানা যায়, একটি ঠিকাদারের অধীনে বাবার সঙ্গে চেন্নাইয়ে রাজমিস্ত্রির কাজ করতেন ইমাম হোসেন। গত ২২ সেপ্টেম্বর মঙ্গলবার বিকেলের দিকে হঠাৎ তিনি তাঁদের থাকার জায়গা থেকে বেরিয়ে যান। এরপর তাঁর বাবা ও সহকর্মীরা বিভিন্ন জায়গায় খোঁজাখুঁজি করেও তাঁর সন্ধান পাননি। নিখোঁজ হওয়ার সময় ইমাম হোসেনের কাছে একটি মোবাইল ফোন ছিল। তবে বর্তমানে সেই ফোনটি সুইচ অফ রয়েছে বলে পরিবার সূত্রে জানা গেছে। পরিবারের দেওয়া তথ্য অনুযায়ী, নিখোঁজের সময় তাঁর পরনে ছিল ফুলপ্যান্ট ও গেঞ্জি-শার্ট। গায়ের রং ফর্সা, স্বাস্থ্য পাতলা এবং উচ্চতা আনুমানিক ৫ থেকে ৫.৫ ফুট। ইতিমধ্যেই তাঁর বাবা ও সহকর্মীরা চেন্নাইয়ের রেড হিলস থানায় নিখোঁজের বিষয়ে লিখিত অভিযোগ দায়ের করেছেন। অসহায় পরিবারের পক্ষ থেকে আবেদন করা হয়েছে, কেউ যদি ইমাম হোসেনের সন্ধান পেয়ে থাকেন বা তাঁর সম্পর্কে কোনও তথ্য জেনে থাকেন, তাহলে নিচের নম্বরে যোগাযোগ করার অনুরোধ করা হচ্ছে। 📞 ৮৬৫৩৮০৫৩৬০ / ৬২৯৭৩৭২৫৩৫ পরিবারের পক্ষ থেকে ইমাম হোসেনকে দ্রুত খুঁজে পেতে খবরটি বেশি করে শেয়ার করার আবেদন জানানো হয়েছে। একটি শেয়ারের মাধ্যমেও যদি তাঁর সন্ধান মেলে, তাহলে তিনি ফিরে আসতে পারেন তাঁর পরিবারের কাছে।
রেজিনগরে উপনির্বাচনকে সামনে রেখে জনসংযোগে RPI প্রার্থী ইমরান মল্লিক রেজিনগর উপনির্বাচনকে সামনে রেখে জোরকদমে জনসংযোগে নামলেন রিপাবলিকান পার্টি অফ ইন্ডিয়া আর মনোনীত প্রার্থী ইমরান মল্লিক। এদিন রেজিনগর বিধানসভা কেন্দ্রের শক্তিপুর ও কামনগর অঞ্চল-সহ দাদপুর এলাকায় বাড়ি বাড়ি গিয়ে নির্বাচনী প্রচার চালান তিনি। এদিনের কর্মসূচিতে উপস্থিত ছিলেন RPI দলের মহিলা সেলের প্রেসিডেন্ট স্বপ্না ভাদুরি। তিনি বলেন, তাঁদের প্রার্থী নির্বাচিত হলে রেজিনগরে গঙ্গার উপর সেতু, রাস্তাঘাট, পানীয় জল, স্বাস্থ্য পরিষেবা এবং কর্মসংস্থানের মতো বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে উন্নয়নের উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হবে। এদিন রেজিনগরের বিভিন্ন এলাকায় জনসংযোগ ও নির্বাচনী প্রচারকে ঘিরে সাধারণ মানুষের মধ্যে সাড়া দেখা যায় স্বপ্না ভাদুরি আরও বলেন, শুধু নির্বাচনের আগেই নয়, নির্বাচনের পরেও তাঁরা সাধারণ মানুষের পাশে থাকবেন। তাঁর কথায়, “ভোট দিলেও পাশে থাকব, ভোট না দিলেও পাশে থাকব।” এমনটাই জানান RPI মহিলা সেলের প্রেসিডেন্ট স্বপ্না ভাদুরি
