Brief Description
Under this scheme, a grant of up to ₹3,500/- is provided for the purchase of individual aids, which may be increased to a maximum of ₹7,000/- in special cases. Additionally, ₹500/- is provided for the repair of prosthetic limbs and other assistive equipment.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant should be a resident of Uttarakhand. 1. The applicant should be a person with a disability. 1. The applicant should have a minimum disability of 40%. 1. In the case of a minor beneficiary, the monthly income of parents/guardians should not exceed ₹4,000/-. 1. The applicant should have a medical recommendation from a Government Medical Officer or specialist recommending the device or its repair.

Application Process
The medical officer must recommend the applicant for fitting with a prosthetic limb or hearing aid. The applicants should complete the application form himself/herself and submit it to the concerned Assistant Social Welfare Officer. The District Social Welfare Officer’s office will process the application as per the prescribed rules. Thereafter, payment will be made to the beneficiary through the treasury.
