The project is being implemented by UCOST in collaboration with Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India to empower Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe communities across Uttarakhand by addressing their fundamental challenges through scientific & technological interventions.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The beneficiaries must belong to a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe community residing in any of the 13 districts of the Kumaon and Garhwal divisions of Uttarakhand. (Mainly: more than 50% of the population)

SC/ST communities living in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand will be the targeted beneficiaries at the district level, for which baseline data will be generated by selecting priority areas within these SC/ST communities.
