The scheme aims to promote Sanskrit education among students by organizing Sanskrit competitions at various levels. Under this scheme, Sanskrit competitions are organized at various levels for both junior (Class 6 to 10) and senior (Class 11 to post-graduation) categories.

1. The institutional students studying in the junior classes (Class 6 to 10) and senior classes (Class 11 to post-graduation) of any government, private, or non-governmental school/college in Uttarakhand are eligible to participate. 1. The students pursuing B.Ed., Ph.D., or Diploma courses are not eligible for participation.

Application Process
This competition is held once a year, typically between September and November. An advertisement or notification is issued and sent to the relevant District Coordinator and Block Coordinator. After students are selected at the school or college level, they are recommended by their principal and presented to the Block Education Officer/Block Coordinator for participation. 1. Prizes are awarded to participants or teams that secure first, second, and third place in the block-level competition. All first- and second-place finishers then advance to the district-level competition. 1. At the district level, prize money is awarded to participants or teams securing first, second, and third place. All first-place winners at the district level advance to the state-level competition, where prize money is awarded to the first, second, and third-place winners.
