Brief Description
The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to cultural groups and artists registered with the Department for performing in cultural programs organized during traditional fairs, festivals, regional celebrations within and outside the state, as well as on the occasion of national festivals.

Application Process
- The Directorate of Culture conducts auditions periodically to shortlist cultural groups and artists. - For the selection of a cultural group, the following documents are required: the organization’s registration certificate, a copy of its bylaws, details and number of the group’s artists, and a certificate confirming that the members are natives or permanent residents of Uttarakhand. - At present, the department has a total of 267 cultural groups and 226 solo artists on its list.
