- The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand. - The applicant must be suffering from Thalassemia or Haemophilia.

Application Process

- Patients suffering from Thalassemia must get themselves registered by visiting the DEIC Centres established at Sub-District Hospital Roorkee, Base Hospital Almora, Base Hospital Nainital, and District Hospital Rudrapur (Udham Singh Nagar). For registration, patients are required to provide their Aadhaar card, mobile number, and a medical certificate confirming the disease issued by a qualified doctor. After registration, patients can avail of free blood filters, chelators, and blood transfusion facilities. - Patients suffering from Haemophilia can obtain free haemophilia factors from their nearest government medical unit after registering with the Haemophilia Society by submitting a doctor’s diagnostic prescription and Aadhaar card. They can also complete their registration by contacting the 104 Helpline (toll-free) or directly through the Haemophilia Society.
