Application Process
- An application must be submitted to the District Magistrate Office or the District Probation Officer’s Office of the concerned district to obtain a certificate of orphanhood. The application should be accompanied by the orphan child’s Aadhaar card, permanent residence certificate, and the death certificates of both parents. - Thereafter, the department or District Magistrate’s Office will conduct an investigation, and, based on the recommendation of the District Probation Officer, the certificate will be issued by an officer not below the rank of Sub-Divisional Magistrate. - The concerned child can use this orphan certificate while applying for services. Only upon presenting this certificate will the child be eligible for orphan reservation. Currently, the application process is offline.
