Application Process

The woman herself or any citizen can provide information about mentally or physically disabled women, or destitute women in their area, by calling helpline number 181. Information can also be given to the Police, SDM, City Magistrate, or District Magistrate of the concerned area. After receiving the information, the Police rescue the woman, conduct medical and other necessary examinations, and on the orders of the District Magistrate, send her to the Government Women Welfare and Rehabilitation Centre or Mahila Griha.
