Brief Description

The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to the families/dependents of individuals who lose their lives due to any disaster. Under this scheme, an amount of ₹4,00,000/- is given as ex-gratia to support the affected families.

1. The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand. 1. The applicant should be a disaster-affected person/ belong to a disaster-affected family or an individual involved in relief or pre-preparation related work.

Application Process

Information about the disaster and the resulting damage is received from various sources. The concerned Patwari verifies the damage and records it in the P-20 form. The Patwari’s report is subsequently verified by the Tehsildar and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate. Approval is then obtained from the District Magistrate. Once the District Magistrate’s approval is received, relief funds are disbursed to the concerned beneficiaries at the Tehsil level.
