1. The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand. 1. The applicant must be a person admitted to a government or non-government hospital due to an injury caused by a disaster, including those engaged in relief or disaster preparedness activities who sustained injuries during such work.

Application Process
Information about the disaster and the resulting damage is received from various sources. The concerned Patwari verifies the damage and records it in the P-20 form. The Patwari’s report is subsequently verified by the Tehsildar and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate. Approval is then obtained from the District Magistrate. Once the District Magistrate’s approval is received, relief funds are disbursed to the concerned beneficiaries at the Tehsil level.

What kind of assistance is provided under this scheme?
An ex-gratia grant of ₹16,000 per person is provided for hospital stays of more than one week, and ₹5,400 per person for stays of less than one week.
Who is eligible to receive benefits under this scheme?
Any person admitted to a government or non-government hospital due to injuries caused by a disaster is eligible. Persons injured during relief or preparedness-related work are also covered.
