Brief Description
The scheme aims to reduce severe malnutrition and child mortality by providing free institutional care, diet, and medical treatment to severely malnourished children below 5 years of age.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The child should be a resident of Madhya Pradesh. 1. The applicant should be a child below 5 years of age. 1. The child must be severely malnourished or sick and meet at least one of the following criteria: - Mid-Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC) less than 11.5 cm. - Weight-for-height Z-score less than -3 SD (standard deviation). - Bilateral pitting oedema (swelling on both feet).

Application Process
- The child is identified by health workers (ANM/ASHA/AWW) during community surveys or health check-ups. - Eligible children are referred to the nearest Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre (NRC). - On arrival, the child undergoes medical examination and anthropometric assessment to confirm eligibility. - Upon meeting admission criteria, the child and mother/caregiver are admitted free of cost.
