Eligibility Criteria
1. The beneficiary will apply for the benefits under the scheme, and the beneficiary will be required to have the following eligibility till the date of application: - This assistance shall be payable to the first two daughters of the mother. - A self-declaration to this effect will be submitted by the mother of the beneficiary, which will be required to be attached to the application. 2. Under this scheme, all eligible girls studying from class 12 in the Government/Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Minority and Backward Classes Welfare Department, Jharkhand supported/run by Women Child Development and Social Security Department, Jharkhand/run under National Child Labour Project (NCLP)/managed by Jharkhand Government/aided by the schools will be covered. 3. The beneficiaries of the scheme will be those girl children whose - Mother/father is not permanently employed in or retired from the Central Government/State Government/Central Public Sector Undertakings/State Public Sector Undertakings and is not in receipt of pension/family pension from these employers. - Mother/father will not be an income taxpayer. - The mother of the applicant will submit a self-declaration form to this effect, which will be necessary to attach to the application. 4. The beneficiary should be between 18 and 19 years of age at the time of application for the last installment.

FAQs
Who can apply for benefits under this scheme?
Only the first two daughters of a mother are eligible to apply for the scheme. Applicants must meet age and educational requirements and fall within the specified family financial criteria.
What age group does the scheme target?
Girls aged between 18-19 years can apply for the last installment. To receive this installment, it is mandatory for them to be enrolled in the voter list of Jharkhand, updated after January 1 of that year.
What documentation is required for applying?
Applicants must submit self-attested copies of their birth certificate, Aadhaar (for both the girl and her mother), and a bank/post office account passbook. A self-declaration by the mother about eligibility is also required.
Where can applications be submitted?
Applications must be submitted at the Child Development Project Officer's office in the applicant's area, either directly or through an Anganwadi worker.
What income restrictions apply?
The girl's parents should not be employed by or retired from central/state government positions, or receive a pension/family pension from government employment. Additionally, neither parent should be an income taxpayer.
Is there any special consideration for orphaned girls?
Yes, orphaned girls must provide their parents' death certificates and an orphan certificate issued by the Child Welfare Committee. In this case, a legal guardian’s documentation will be accepted.
What is the process of verification for the scheme?
Physical verification of beneficiaries is conducted by a female supervisor at the Child Development Project Office. Upon eligibility confirmation, the District Social Welfare Officer reviews and approves applications.
How will the assistance amount be disbursed?
Approved funds will be directly transferred to the beneficiary’s bank account via ABPS, NEFT, RTGS, or PFMS.
Is the application process online or manual?
Currently, the process is manual, but plans are underway to transition to an online application system in the future.
