The State Government has launched the 'Sahara Scheme' to provide financial assistance of Rs. 3000 per month to the patients belonging to the economically weaker sections of the society, who are suffering from specified diseases such Parkinson, Malignant Cancer, Paralysis etc.

1. The applicant must be a resident of Himachal Pradesh. 2. The applicant must belong to the economically weaker section of society. 3. The applicant must be suffering from specified diseases such as Parkinson&39;s disease, Malignant Cancer, Paralysis, Muscular Dystrophy, Hemophilia, and Thalassemia, or chronic renal failure or any other disease that renders a person permanently incapacitated. 4. The applicant must not be a beneficiary of any other government-sponsored pension scheme.
