The State government of Bihar launched the "Chief Minister Divyangjan Empowerment Scheme (Sambal) " scheme with the aim of improving the lives of Disable persons. Financial assistance is provided by the government through these schemes.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The age limit will be 18-60 years for self-employment loans and more than 5 years for artificial limbs and equipment. 1. In very special cases, a grant will be payable in all cases covered by multiple disabilities and judgments and there will be no restriction on the limit of income, age etc. 1. The age limit of the student for the special school will be 6-18 years. 1. For shelter home (Ashiyana / Saket), the minimum age limit of the beneficiary (male/female) will be 18 years.
