Brief Description

The scheme “Mukhya Mantri Krishi Sa Sajuli Yojana” is a State Owned Priority Development (SOPD) scheme for farmers launched by the Assam government in FY 2018-19. The main purpose of launching this scheme for farmers is their holistic development by implementing several farm mechanization schemes.

Eligibility Criteria

1. The beneficiary should be a resident farmer of Assam. 1. Only small and marginal farmers are eligible for the benefit under the scheme. 1. The beneficiary should be more than 21 years old. 1. He or she should be involved in cultivation for at least three consecutive years. 1. All Kisan Credit Card (KCC) holders are eligible to apply under the scheme. 1. The applicant Beneficiary should have a live bank account. 1. Only one farmer per family shall be eligible for the benefit under the scheme. 1. Tenant farmers or sharecroppers with a minimum cultivation area of 1 Acre / 3 Bighas may also be considered under the scheme.

What is the purpose of the financial assistance?

The financial assistance given to the farmers is for the purpose of procuring farm tools only.

Is there any reservation for SC/ST Farmers?

SC and ST farmers will be selected as per the state reservation act which is 7% for SC 10% for ST(P) and 5% for ST(H).

How will this scheme help the farmers?

Through this scheme financial assistance of ₹ 5000 will be provided to every farmer to procure farm tools and the assistance will be provided through Direct Benefit Transfer.

How many No. of beneficiaries are targeted through this scheme?

The number of beneficiaries will be a total of 5 lakh farmers of Assam.

What is the mode of operation of the Scheme?

The Scheme will be operated in Direct Benefit Transfer Mode.

What is the minimum eligibility to avail this scheme?

The beneficiary should be at least 21 years of age.

What type of farmers can avail this Scheme?

Who will select the beneficiaries?

The selection of beneficiaries will be done by a District-Level Committee. This scheme will be implemented under the supervision of state-level monitoring committee chaired by the agriculture production commissioner.

What is District Level Committee?

The District level committee shall comprise of the following Members: (1) Deputy Commissioner/Principal Secretary, Chairman (2) Hon’ble MLA of the LACs from the district, Member (3) ADC, Agriculture, Member (4) LDM, Member (5) GM NABARD, Member (6) EE/AEE (Agriculture), Member (7) Three Social Workers nominated by DC, Members (8) District Agriculture Officer, Member Secretary

Who will approve the list of beneficiary?

The respective district-level committees will approve the list of beneficiaries. After the approval of the beneficiary list, the list will be sent to the Director of agriculture with the bank account details and mobile number details.

How will farmers get the details of advertisement of the scheme?

Agriculture Department will publish the advertisement through print and electronic media in order to invite applications from the respective website.

Where will the applicant find the list of approved beneficiaries?

The list of approved beneficiaries will be published on the District website of the DCs. The same may also be kept on the office notice boards of the DC and DAOs.
